Costs:

Pre-entry fee: $12 per class, must be received by Saturday, July 18, with payment for all classes pre-entered. Please make checks out to Pure Gold Stables. Open checks will not be accepted for pre-entry prices.

Post-entry fee: Any entries received after the close date of Saturday, July 18, or on the day of the show, will be charged a flat $10 fee, in addition to the regular class fee.

Stabling: $25 per day or $45 per night, regardless of arrival and departure times. Stabling is VERY limited. Stabling for the entire weekend is $65. Please call (814) 434-0914 in advance for reservations.

Shavings: $6 per bag

Featured Money Classes

Pure Gold Handy Hunter Classic: Must have at least three (3) entries to run the class
Entry fee: $35
The class is open to all riders on horses or ponies. The Class will be run as an Add-Back class. $15.00 per entry will be added to the prize purse. Purse will be distributed as follows 40%, 30%, 20%, 10%. To be judged on performance and soundness with manners emphasized. The class will be conducted as a two-round competition and judged using the open numerical system. The first round course will consist of a hunter-type course of approximately (9) fences. All riders, unless eliminated during the first round, will return to jump a second round over a handy-type course during their respective fence height.

Scores from both rounds will be combined to determine the winners. All entries must show in at least one full hunter division (at fence heights of 2’3” or higher) at this show prior to the Hunter Classic. All entries may choose between fence heights 2’3”, 2’6”, 2’9”. (Please declare fence height on entry blank). Heights judged and pinned together. Exclusive ribbons will be awarded through sixth place.

Pure Gold Medal: Must have at least three (3) entries to run the class
Entry fee: $35
This class is open to all riders on horses and ponies. The Class will be run as an Add-back class. $15.00 per entry will be added to the prize purse. Purse will be distributed as follows 40%, 30%, 20%, 10%.

The class will be conducted as a two-phase equitation class. All entries will first compete over an equitation type course of at least (8) fences. The course may include a roll back, trot fence, and/or a combination. All riders, unless eliminated in the first round, will be invited back to ride a test at the judge’s discretion. Entries will be judged on seat, hands, guidance and control of mount. All entries may choose between fence heights of 2’3”, 2’6” or 2’9” (please declare fence height on entry form). Heights judged and pinned together. Exclusive ribbons will be awarded through sixth place.

Pure Gold Mini-Medal: Must have at least three (3) entries to run the class
Entry fee: $35
This class is open to all Junior and Amateur riders on horses and ponies who are also eligible for the extremely green hunter/rider, baby green rider/hunter, beginner rider/hunter, adult rider/hunter, and novice rider/hunter divisions. The Class will be run as an Add-back class. $15.00 per entry will be added to the prize purse. Purse will be distributed as follows; 40%, 30%, 20%, 10%.The class will be conducted as a two-phase event. All entries will first compete over a hunter type course of at least (8) fences. All riders will be invited back to participate in the flat phase of the competition. All riders will be asked to walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. At the judge’s discretion, additional testing may be requested. Flatwork will be judged on seat, hands, guidance and control of mount. Fences not to exceed 2’, no oxers. Exclusive ribbons will be awarded through sixth place.

McNicol Pony Jumper Mini-Prix: Must have at least three (3) entries to run the class
Entry fee: $35
The class is open to all Junior and Amateur riders on ponies. The Class will be run as an Add-back class. $15.00 per entry will be added to the prize purse. Purse will be distributed as follows; 40%, 30%, 20%, 10%. All entries must compete in at least TWO Jumper classes prior to the Pony Prix. The fences will be set at 2’6”-2’9” (jump off) with spreads not to exceed fence height. Class to be run under Table II 2(d). The top (8) horses will return for the jump off. Exclusive ribbons will be awarded through sixth place.

Pure Gold Jumper Mini-Prix: Must have at least three (3) entries to run the class
Entry fee: $35
The class is open to all riders on horses or ponies. The Class will be run as an Add-back class. $15.00 per entry will be added to the prize purse. Purse will be distributed as follows; 40%, 30%, 20%, 10%. All entries must compete in at least TWO Jumper classes prior to the Mini Prix. The fences will be set at 3’-3’3” (jump off), with spreads not to exceed fence heights. Class to be run under Table II 2(d). The top (8) horses will return for the jump off. Exclusive ribbons will be awarded through sixth place.

Silver Dollar Farm BAREBACK Gamblers Choice: Must have at least three (3) entries to run the class
Entry fee: $35
The class is open to all riders on horses or ponies. The Class will be run as an Add-back class. $15.00 per entry will be added to the prize purse. Purse will be distributed as follows; 40%, 30%, 20%, 10%. All entries must compete in at least TWO Jumper classes prior to the Gamblers Choice. The fences will be set at 2’6” with spreads not to exceed fence height. Exclusive ribbons will be awarded through sixth place. Class to be scored on difficulty of fence (vertical 1 pt, oxer 2 pts).

Thoroughbred Hunter/Jumper DERBY Showcase: Must have at least three (3) entries to run the class
Entry fee: $35
The class is open to all riders showing a Thoroughbred. The Class will be run as an Add-back class. $15.00 per entry will be added to the prize purse. Purse will be distributed as follows; 40%, 30%, 20%, 10%. Class will be run under Table IV Sec. 1, which is based on faults and closest to optimum time. Two heights will be offered but will be scored as one class fences will be set at 2’6”-2’9” and 3’-3’3”, with spreads not to exceed fence heights. The Derby will be held in the sand jumping arena and the grass area surround the sand arena. The course will consist of both show jumping and cross-country type fences. Cross country obstacles MAY consist of solid, portable obstacles, brushed steeple chase type fences, banks, ditches, and water. Exclusive ribbons will be awarded through sixth place.
